Converse County Community Planning Initiative
Grant (CCCPI)
Provides free workforce training for adults and children who are
income eligible.
Converse County families with qualifying low-to-moderate income
will be able to receive workforce training and assistance with counseling
through a grant titled
Converse County Community Planning Initiative.

This four hour session is designed specifically for your individual business
to improve business atmosphere and increase sales.
Express Yourself (Self Assertiveness Training)

and feelings.

Have you ever wanted more time in your day? We have the secrets of how
to make this happen, whether it’s at work or at home.

Learn multiple coping skills including “Ridding Yourself of Negative
Self Talk.” You haven’t begun to imagine what you are capable

Camp
Ages 14-18 If you need a job or having trouble keeping one, we can
show you how to become successful. Students will complete a career
plan, application, W-4 form, mock interview, cover letter and resume.
Multiple topics will be taught including customer service, how to dress
for success, problem solving skills, team building and how to keep
a job once you have one.
Red Cross Babysitting Training
June 15 & 16, 2010 Douglas
June 17 & 18, 2010 Glenrock
Ages 12-17
Receive child and infant CPR and first aid certification. Get the information
and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children
in the absence of parents or guardians. This training will help participants
develop skills in leadership and professionalism, basic care, safety
and safe play.

Ages 12-17
Receive child and infant CPR and first aid certification. Get the information
and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children
in the absence of parents or guardians. This training will help participants
develop skills in leadership and professionalism, basic care, safety

Robotz in Outer Space
June 28 - July 2, 2010 Douglas
Ages 9-15
Students create robots with specific skills to “return to mysterious
planet H-99 and complete their mission.” Their mission is to
clear rocks for a new base camp and move the original space camp,
monitor volcanoes, investigate a cave, collect mineral spheres, find
methane,
and prepare a final mission report.

Robot Challenge
July 26-30, 2010 Douglas
Ages 14-18
Students brainstorm situations where robots could be useful to the
human race. Robots are then designed and programmed to create solutions.
Creativity, brainstorming, problem solving and critical thinking skills
are stretched to the limit in this class.
